Seeding guide
Who picks the creators in a seeding campaign?
PLAYLAB LAB · Last updated: 2026-09-17
Many brands want to choose the creators themselves but cannot take on the outreach, the shipping and the upload chasing that follows. Those are two different jobs, and they can be split. In a PLAYLAB gifted seeding campaign the brand can make the final creator selection, or hand that step to us — and the operation after selection is the same either way.
You can make the final call from the applicant list
If you want to choose, you receive the list of creators who applied to the campaign. You review it and decide who to work with. Nothing ships until you have.
If you would rather not review a list, we can run the selection on our own matching instead, narrowing candidates by the product conditions you specify. Which of the two you pick depends on how involved you want to be in selection — not on how much of the operation you are willing to outsource. For what we actually read about a creator before proposing them, see what data-driven creator matching really means.
After selection, the brand ships and we keep the record
Once the list is final, the brand ships the products. We re-verify each delivery address for that campaign rather than reusing an address on file, and we record the tracking number per creator and per campaign.
Shipped, delivered and published are three different states, and we do not let them collapse into one number. After shipping we stay in contact with the creator, track whether the content goes live, and close the campaign with a report and a recommendation for the next run.
Product cost, international shipping, customs and duties are the brand's. The exact shipping procedure is agreed per campaign.
The record outlives the campaign
The live dashboard shows views, likes, comments, shares, saves and engagement per creator, the exact upload timestamp, the link to each individual video, and the creator's profile link. The full data set exports to CSV, and the dashboard stays available after the campaign closes.
We treat that record as the input for the next decision — which creator types actually got a response for your product — so that you are not starting from zero every campaign. What it does not do is choose for you or guarantee the next campaign's result. For what is worth keeping and why, see what records you should keep after a seeding campaign.
If you are still deciding whether to run this in-house at all, a seeding platform and a seeding agency differ by who does the work sets out that comparison.
